Diff b/w 2nd upper and 1st class honors in UNI

Honours whether 1st, 2nd or 3rd, sounds good.
But can find a decent job with a decent pay now with it or not? -

Be it 3 yrs or 4 yrs what I am trying to say is whenever you hear someone got honours blah blah.... it is under wat scheme if it is direct honours then it is different from the second case I say earlier.
But now working I dun give a shIt abt honours ppl have cuz I only interested in how much you earn every month ahahhahaa......

Different uni have different grading systems. One I saw has 1st class and 2nd class div a and div b. kekekekekeke

my cousin best. earning about 3k-6k a month and he only has a private degree, and was previously drop out from ITE. Somemore he's getting paid to tour around Europe. Shiok man...

In terms of pay, there is little or no difference at all. But with a 1st class, it is easier to get employed. Probably you will have the luxury of many ofers and hence can choose which company you want to go. That is the main difference.
I know this because..I have a 1st class honours. I got a job secured around Christmas time and the final year exams is in April. Based on my previous years' results, they know that I definitely get 1st class. Ok lah. I very hao lian

there is also a difference between direct honours and honours by research. In the case that you obtained 1st class honours, by research, you have a better market value than those that obtained 1st class honours through their direct honours course.

Hmm ...well guys ..gd results still apply if u want to apply to work in big firms like Accenture,IBM ST Electronics etc.
Well i do belive a Honours Degree will sound much nicer, and it can be sweeten further if the student was invited to do the Honours Yr.
A gd Honours Degree by Research will certainly be a bonus, as it speaks volumes of your analytical skills and reasoning.Not to mention the accredited thesis you wrote. However i personally feel that thats more applicable for technology graduates in Computing and Engineering.
For students in BA,Accountacy or Banking & Finance. I belive getting the official accredition from the relavant bodies will be much more in demand then the degree. -
