Think Shymalan's "Unbreakable" is inspiring

Just finished seeing the movie.Shymalan's 2nd best work has to be this movie. It is so full of emotion. I feel the morale of the film is something different, that everyone in this world who is perceived to be handicapped or lacking in some way is not what it really seems. Bruce Willis overcomed his fear of water and Samuel Jackson was capable of terrorism and i think this movie has some messages in the light of terrorsim like how like minded people could brainwash u to do things.Maybe if we could help those around us , we could be superheroes too.
The eerie cinematography and sadly music. The Indian director is quite good
Shymalan should come out more such stories in the future. -
The Village was probably the worst movie IMO.
Ending of movie was just plain stupid. -
he was overrated in that Dead People movie.. kinda predictable...
then he threw a curve which almost had nothing to do with the plot in this trying to be too clever..
but i guess diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks...
i think his movies are more "i'm so smart i can trick the audience" rather than any good storytelling

Remeber that year it had to compete with the Matrix and THe Phantom Menance. Quite a feat for Shymalan's debut. -

yeah.. but it was SOOOO predictable... had it scouted from a few minutes into the movie...
after that, the movie became terminally boring...
another pretty predictable movie was Se7en.. but that one, was still very watchable to the end even tho you knew the maniac was trying to get the 7th sin completed...
for a great movie with a great ending which threw everyone off, go watch The Usual Suspects

I have seen Seven, the Usual suspects. They are in a different league rahther put them as suspense thrillers or mindbenders. -
not clever.. just read a lot of books with loads better plot
seriously, i love movies that make you think..
one of the most inspiring movies i've watched was Lost in Translation

I feel Shyamalan takes a more philosopphial approach to his movies and it may not go down well with people who dont catch such things,
Unbreakable deals with something called the ESP sense when u know something is bad is going to happen or know things beforehand bfore they realli happened. We subconsciously know this but fail to realise that it is part of everyday life and we need to get in tune with our feelings and psyche -
haha.. i din think too much when watching the show. At the end of it, I tot he was just trying to make a comic book version of Batman vs Joker, Hero vs Villian type of show...
except that he makes the hero and villian more realistic, everyday people.. who doesn't wear spandex or underwear on the outside. -
