Why young Chinese Sporean not worshipping their ancestor?

if we really have filial piety, what we should do is the draw our own family tree, trace the names of your grandma, grandpa, great grandparents, great great grandparents, maternal and paternal, get as much info as possible, compile into a book and pass it own from generation to generation.
that's filial piety, thats remembering our roots, not some praying for safety, 4D or throw two 50cent coins, or wooden plates to ensure that "they" have finished their offered roasted chicken and duck. -

How many people actually know beyond their own great grandparents? If they even know them.
Most people just go through the motions anywhere. What happens to the roasted chicken and duck? They bring it home for themselves. Burning all the "money" and incense is supposed to do something?? -

Please lor, worshipping ur ancestor does not equal to filial piety. If that is the case why wait til their dead? i think it is a society fault. people are now more concerned with earning money, family relationships are not as important as before.
therefore, the tradition of praying to ancestors is something they see as not necessary. earning money to support themselves is more important. -

In tradition Chinese rites, offering to ancestors is placed in the 1st place. Not offering to ancestors is considered as unfilial (in ancient times but not today). Therefore ancestor worship is equal to filial piety.
Many don't know what is filial piety. This is why many old people live alone by themselves or end up in old age home.
As for Qing dynasty clothes, that's Manchu clothes, not Han Chinese. Please do some studies in our culture. -
