notice that the mrts need to turn back, e.g. from bt batok to jurong east back to bt batok. at the case of marina bay, the mrts cant turn back at raffles place cuz they are at different levels. marina bay was actually not in the first private draft of the mrt planners back then in late 1970s/early 1980s, but the need to turn back gave rise to marina bay.

They can maybe introduce a bus service like Sv 115 to ferry people to and fro from the MRT station and their flats

the gahmen says that there must be 2000 residences around a radius of 400m for they to consider opening the station. the reason they give is bacause they don't think that residents would want to walk 400m just to take the train.
i find it laughable. the residents in my area everyday walk more than 400m to take the train, no one is complaining. afterall a short walk in the morning is good for your health what.
