there will always be office politics..especially when ur office is in a hierachial management system. Coz if shit happens..someone is to blame. If U screw up..or someone made U screw up... unless u take the hit.. office politics starts there already. N its time u choose sides..he he

We only talk about work. I am in a situation where I can't speak to them nor can I ignore them totally. Who I am on good terms with is also their problem...I have different nasty nicks everyday even though I just faced my computer. Even then, whatever I do, there will be comments... -

every mistake we make becomes a total big issue on her blog. like magnified thousand times. i check back almost everyday, cos its apparently quite interesting to see people write shit about you.
and she still got the cheek to smile at me every morning, says she got extra sandwich, would i like to have one and etc..and etc.. SO DAMN FAKE sia.
terror-colleagues man, these are. whatever it is, dont let anything get between you and your boss, thats the most important. others can say what they want, but in the end, its your boss who's keeping you.
but of course dont go "carry-balls" la! -

office politics never die.. why? this is because, everyone wants to be better if they had a choice, and if they dont, they have to make that choice. the office politics and etc are examples of people trying to become better than others. become more recognised and superior. that is why the bosses will favor them most of the time. think of it this way, people will do anything for what they want. it varies for different people, and most of the time, people will have fun playing office politics to get to a better position, or into the bosses good books. if no one is trying to be better than the other, then how will bosses choose important positions for his workers by evaluating an amount of equally skilled people. im not saying that office politics is the only way to become superior, im just saying that people will not mind doing it to get better

that's also the reason why people nowadays are so anti-social, dun like to mix around, became so wary of strangers...
......internet is not the main reason of people being anti-social today as compare to 80s, 90s. -
i agree on why people dun mix around.. coz they worry if others know them too well, thier weakness will get exploited. But if u remain too silent.. office will just become like attending the subject u hate the most.. But remaining totally silent gives others the feel that u may one day go postal... coming to work with an Ak-47 lol...

if i don't play office politics(OP), i've a nice and friendly personality, i be neutral etc...will people still play OP on me? or is it the fiercer and more competitive you're, then people don't dare to play OP on you?
but then, i think that if you're well-known to be fierece and competitive, all the more you're going to be aimed.

well, my opinion on office politics....
it's part & parcel of working life.. so one needs to at least survive and not let it affect ur livelihood... of coz, if u can manipulate it and pull the right strings or have the correct backing (kao shan) to benefit yourself in terms of salary or job prospect, why not?
of coz, the righteous person wld choose to flex his/her own political powers for the better of the company or for concrete results... but the deviant one... god bless anyone who comes in the way of his/her path.

i got a boss who stabbed his way to the top..
rumours are that he'll be transferred somewhere else soon.. so, in order to make his successor look bad, he's screwing up everything as much as possible...
reshuffling everything and anything, making everyone's life a complete misery..

yea, just cannot let it affect our livelihood. not worth it losing ur job over someone else.
