same too , when 1996 to 2000 abit shy la .. cos that time still sec sch .. also one more reason is i hatam bola too many ppl alot then chap paikia .. so abit danger sia lol ... now ok la abit older so i dont really mind ... go makan or wat la , also my father drive ... but i dont go shopping and all .... some time also abit phobia wait meet one of my scandals or flings or ex gangster friends with ang kong ... i scared my mother will freak out ... cos she scared i go back to back company again .

Anyway, spent lots of time in Australia, and what I noticed is that family bonding sessions are more common there than here.
On Sundays, you can see whole families going to the mall, then they split up as the kids go and find their pals( who also came with their families) and each member gets to have their own time and they also have time together.

what's so shameful? when you walk into a shop with an adult you'll normally get better service.

dono why nowadays i seldom see youngsters with parents...even if i see youngsters with parents, the look on their face suggest that they dont like it..some even stay as far away from them while walking -
in my case, i think its good to go out with my parents.. personally, i go out with my mother alot, shopping and etc.. and whenever i see a friend i know, i won't hesitate to introduce my mother to them because i am actually proud of having my mother around me. i used to feel a little shame when i was in sec 1.. but then i started thinking and realised that theres no need to feel shame. my dad's pretty cool too, and quite often, my friends would come over to my house and just play pool with my dad. i think this is important because it lets my parents know what kinda people im mixing with, and they are able to trust me more =)

Watch movie, eat dinner and overseas. And I'm the one who initiates it.
The main reason? He pays for it. If I go out with friends, I got to sacrifice my own pocket money.
The relationship between my lao peh and me is like buddy buddy type. My friends at first thought he's a friend of mine.
And I've never feel shameful about going out with my lao peh. -

if dun want go out with them now, its be harder when u r older.. the most common get-together is when the whole family goes overseas for a holiday. like this, it wont feel funny if a teenager goes out with his parents.
