formal clothes qn pls help

ok i know wad r formal clothes those long sleeve button collar shirt..
but r those short sleeved,collard type considered formal? -
another qn .. i m short for my age 165 . n i look a bit childish yeah hated it...whenver go out buy stuff call me xiao di..
this mon is start of my indust attach, have to wear formal...if i wear those long sleeve type dont i look weird? i mean i look too young to be in formal...any tips? -

it depends on every individual company, some consider it formal, some dont. fact is, you'd look pretty weird with a short sleeved shirt and a tie.
best is to wear long sleeved, then notice what the rest are wearing.
i wore formal the first day of my attachment, majority of my dept wearing just polo tee. then for the rest of my attachment, i was only required to report for work in tshirt and jeans
just to be safe, get 2 long sleeved shirts, G2000 has some really nice shirts. -
Not detailed enough description. It depends:
Polo shirt i.e. T shirt material - smart casual, NOT formal
Button down cotton shirt - semi- formal. If you're in a technical role like engineering, this MAY be acceptable depending on company culture.

it's also nice to wear long sleeved shirts to interviews etc.

nope. short sleeves shirt is never a formal dress code for guys, esp if u are heading for interviews or presentations.

mostly attachment dont need formal wear .. juz jeans and t-shirt......

G2000 shirts expensive.... buy from John Little cheaper.... only for industrial attachment no need to spend so much. Next time work got money already then buy more expensive ones. if needed
The job nature is important though when working. For some job scope which is never see customer want can buy cheap cheap shirts like I did. For those job scope must go see ppl want then consider buy a bit more expensive lor

yes, yes, i agree, John Little has way more variety, cheaper as well, but aint it for older guys?
Well depends on your job scope. Older as in design plain plain no pattern? That I agree but you gotta see what price you pay mah. For me my work is not go outside see ppl but see machine more so why fork out so much on dress attire rite? Just get normal plain will do. Get more striking color if you wanna look younger say pink or yellow or strong blue hahahhahaah but who see hehehee....? Maybe I wear and let the machine answer me. "Machine today my shirt nice?" "Yes my lord you look nice today" -
in my building, got some ang mohs wear short-sleeve with tie
quite comical....
jus wear long-sleeve shirt and pants
friday shd be able to wear casual (jeans) -
