  n btw i will be wearing lab coat over so i dont get it...coverd by lab coat still beed long sleeve...

  Wearing short sleeved makes you look even more kiddish.
  
  Get the right fit for your physique. Wear slim cut shirts. No darts at the back. Avoid vertcal stripes. If the sleeves are too long for your arms, go shorten the sleeves.

  Let me give you some working experience advice. I have worked in government companies before and all I can say is you better follow orders just like Army to prevent any hiccups in your career path. You want the money and grades they give you or not? IA is not the time to play punk. It can affect next time whether you can go work for gahment again.
  
  Although gahment rice bowl no longer iron but i tink it is still ceramics? Better than some private companies which is disposable bowl leh. Get it my fren?

  Eh, not sure how to phrase this...
  You know how at the back of your office shirt, sometimes there's a pleat or fold near your shoulder-blades? Well this pleated back gives the wearer more room to stretch, but will make the shirt baggier too. In your case, look out for no pleat, or small pleat only.

  I'm about the same size as you, and for me buying shirts is a shit load of problem as well.
  
  You can try G2000, Tangs or neighbourhood shops, as they tend to have local sizes. Don't even think of continental brands, as they seldom have sizes that fit nicely. Also try to get shirts without pleats, as they tend to look floppy and untidy when your shoulders are not wide.

  normally lab people don't have to wear that formal. they normally just wear polo tee and jeans. unless you're frontline staff that is. the Singaporean definition of formal is quite lax. just a plain long-sleeved work shirt with matching pants and leather shoes would do. no need for a tie. unless you're working in a bank or a law firm.

  I would be worried about getting experience and learning the most out of the attachment rather than scolding vulgar words for having been requested to dress formally. In his case, he only need to put on a shirt and pants. Its almost no brainer. So what if I slam him. Is it wrong to have a different opinion. Besides, I still think he's taking things for granted.

  ya lor, i look funny too. especially the sleeves, but what to do. i fold em up, and be done with it. i think impt is must be comfy cuz u're gonna spend days after days in those clothes.

  Be prepared to fork out about $130 for a set (cause pants cost a bomb).
  
  If you don't mind paying more, and you foresee yourself wearing often I would suggest tailoring a set of pants. Though it cost more (about $120 a pair), but the fitting and cut will be just right. For our height getting ready made pants is no joke, unless you like to shop A LOT.

  G2000 has small trouser sizes. All you gotta do is alter the length and they do it for free.
