Regardless of government laws, people should be responsible for what they say too. Being honest and direct shouldn't be used as an excuse to hurt other people. This is what really brainless and thoughtless people do.Originally posted by valentinoo:loll..bingoo...

This shows in Singapore, cannot anyhow say things. Newspapers and magazines are licensed. But internet not licensed (yet). It's amazing that bloggers get sued over publicising in an unlicensed media.Originally posted by Shotgun:I guess Singapore has gone into the records again. First country to charge Bloggers.
I wonder, according to the act, they government may choose to destroy the seditious publication or articles. So what are they gonna do? Blow up the internet or something?
Honestly, the ultimate way to restrict internet in Singapore is to convert it into an INTRANET. Singapore ONLY intranet, that doesnt connect to the internet. So everything can be monitored, ppl cant surf porn either, any one so much has a racist thought, can be charged immediately le. Ho ho!
'ratspeck' it still talking about rodents? no?Originally posted by archon1234:We should make use of the cyber space properly lah. It wasn't a particular forum post but more of a flaming session that went on and on between two groups over the tudung issue that caused a forum to shut down... it wasn't exactly charged but it did receive warning letters from MUIS and the government. Eventually the owners of the forum thought it better to shut it down and start anew elsewhere....Originally posted by Kenneth Tan Jian Wei:wonder what's the first forum post to cause a prosecution...
