last time, chicken rice wasnt sold with cucumber. instead, there was other fried vegetables like kailan n tau geh which the customer could order as a topping for chicken rice, like chap chye png....
den one day, a chicken rice seller went to his friend's house, to buy chickens from him, since his friend was a chicken farmer. den he saw one chicken who was rather horny, coz there wasnt enough roosters around... tat chicken picked up a young tiny cucumber at the farm area, n use it as a dildo....
so then this chicken rice seller got inspired to use cucumbers in chicken rice, n it was much more convenient, coz cucumber don need to cook, juz cut it up can already.... It certainly saved the trouble of having to fry vegetables... n so from then onwards, he sold chicken rice with free sliced cucumbers...n not fried vegetables anymore. the other hawkers followed suit n soon, it was a norm for chicken rice to be served with cucumbers....
