  years ago i preferred Toshiba Tvs for their sound :- the Bomba series is the best tv I owned.The sound is quite good for tv.

  For Plasma, can't go wrong with Pioneer but the price....

  My Panasonic flat screen lasted only 5 years. Now replaced by Hitachi LCD. So far so good - clear and detailed, good sound. Was originally eyeing at Sharp LCD but quality-wise, Hitachi scores. It came with a free multi-region DVD player too.

  Another brand one would usually overlook in terms of reliability is phillips. Its been a long time, I dunno if they are still manufacturing tv sets.

  kena complain by everyone of my friends against them.
  
  one even wanted to file a suit against them for producing product to cheat people,,
  
  bad service, lousy components, cannot last for 3 years..so ex some more.
  they had to pay sales person to market their goods in order to sell..
  
  I hate SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  
  Buy sharp!! now change all my tv, monitor to sharp....
  is worth to buy a product that last......
