Rumurs of no O levels in the future

  In future, Singapore will have their own examination system. No need pay money to Cambridge for our O lvls liao.

  O, A levels, GMAT, SAT are all internationally recognise.
  
  its useful when going overseas.
  
  N level is nvr heard of in other countries.
  
  however one thing for sure, whatever they change it just makes it worse.

  Rumours only. But might be through. Now got through train to A Levels and polytechnics, so it is a possibility.

  MOE is experimenting all kinds of things.
  
  WHO are the guinea pigs? As citizens , we must remember , we are the guinea pigs for all the experiments. if right they give themselves credit and more pay. If wrong, they just say, life has to move on and not reflect on who's mistake but still reward themselves.
  
  this is how our gov works.
  
  all kinds of system and now still changing back and forth.

  as someone a Uk professor once commented on the fu-cked up education system here tailored to political needs.

  i get the feeling that the 4 poly are not getting enough students. so lost in revenues.
  
  by dropping O level, it means overseas applicants can apply as they don;t have O levels in some countries.
  
  They will squeeze everyone into the the 4 polys as no more O level grading. evryone gets to go poly base only on preliminary secondary school exams results.
  
  maybe next time poly start term in january but now cannot as have to wait for O level results.
  
  Then how to make sure all secondary preliminery exams the same standard?
  
  sure is getting very messy and not to mention N levels, which is already very messy.

  becos nowadays many kids refusing to study all becos of the good life they had during the time of progressing singapore:- 80s and 90s
  
  The move may indicate some skeletons in the closet. High secondary student dropouts last few years?
  
  Can see now a lot of kids hanging around doing nothing
