  Everything is getting messy in singapore nowadays...Let me ask u how many of the foreign students have valid qualifications to enter our tertiary schools?
  It s only "valid" in he eyes of big brother and his FT policy. Pick a foreign student and ask for his papers and see if he possess one...

  in the eyes of big brother foreigners are better in work, schooling , football, and practically everything including massage and gylang.
  
  advise from them are even more valuable, especially finance.
  
  i am worried one day we don;t listen to them, they threat to damage our financial system as we are model such that they can manupilate.
  
  These hypocrites just want to weaken our exposure internationally so that they can control our gov like clones.
  
  just like 4 universities and growing and maybe 5 poly and we are still at loss and messing around the systems with so many experiments.
  
  lets hope they know what they are doing and not changing for the sake of credits.

  I am not really for this system. 'O' levels is a benchmark recognised by all commonwealth countries, in other words, there is no basis for one to progress to a Polytechnic if you haven't hit the benchmark.
  
  What if the student fails his/her Polytechnic education? It is not unusual. And so what is the student left with? PSLE?
  
  Regarding the point about Polytechnics not having enough students to fill the intake, thats obviously off the mark. The numbers show otherwise.
  
  Even ITEs require a certain level of proficiency in 'N' subjects before allowing entry. There must be a check and balance mechanism built into this whole scheme to ensure not everyone cruises into a Polytechnic easily.

  there's this called shiftting the responsibility.
  
  based on just secondary school final results, once the students are enroled the poly is forced to make sure the students make it to the minimum pass grade or else the blame will fall on the poly for failing to train and teach weaker students. in the end poly may be forced to lower its standard.
  
  if o level goes, n level will also go. we will just based on secondary school results. save all the money and time.
  
  i guess they are thinking why have two exams , preliminary and O level. one is enough.

  Our poly standard already low...lower some more better so that ppl like my brother can make it...
