  er..when i say shut down..i meant pc cant connect to the internet.. (it shut itself from the internet world)...not shut down in power terms.

  Er, you know what is a proxy server?
  
  And all you need is one antivirus, one firewall, at most 2 spyware detectors. Anything more simply creates more problems for your PC. Several antivirus software do put their competitors' system files as virus, so once you remove them, they become inactive or worse.

  btw...to me...proxy server is a hardware installation...I dunno if there is a software kind of proxy server...even if there is...I dont think it will be easy to configure...and RAM-draining so...

  software type? its everywhere...its quite easy to configure...only a few steps.
  hardware? i dun think i will buy for home usage.

  shld i just uninstall my antispyware programs after use as i heard some spywares can detect certain antispyware programs and it wun eat up my cpu usage while running in the background?

  Aiya, u just go install a good firewall n two scanners la. No need too be so paranoid. Later ur pc cant function even worse. Its all about functionality n efficiency.

  try searching for solutions online. or post here. or post at pc forums. think twice abt going straight for the repair shop. sometimes the way they 'repair' your com is simple REFORMAT the entire operating system. if u need help get a fren who is good in computer stuff. it may only require a few mins of work to get your computer up and running again
