Anti-terror measures.. Soldiers themselves CMI

today was at Changi Airport T2, Basement, near that cold storage..
walked pass one group of green uniform people carrying those "machine" guns, and another fella wearing uniform of the police also hold the gun
(not sure whats they call themselves.. army, NSF, or what)
thing is, this 4 "anti-terror" fellas where walking leisurely, and CHATTING merrily, while swinging their guns (with 2 hands of cos), and pressing the trigger thing..
i ask myself, sekali one guy gila or drunk, or see rat run across him, anyhow shoot how? all the way not concentrating and talking nonsense when they are on anti-terror duty!!! -

I dun think our soldiers are that ill disciplined lar. From what I understand, only the very skilled actors, are sent to Singapore Airport to do patrol leh. ha.

those soldiers should be happy got AC and hold gun to show off, while their other friends work in worse conditions elsewhere! -

machine gun in the airport? you sure you want our airport to look like a rat hole after that? or maybe a swiss cheese. the gun referred to should be the SAR-21, locally designed for our urban landscape.
Green uniforms? i believe they are from the army.
fingers in trigger? trained soldiers will know that never ever put their fingers in the trigger. what you may have saw is the index finger actually placed outside the trigger guard and on the frame.
Chatting? Why not? if that keeps them vigiliant and awake, i think chatting is not a problem. you have no idea how boring and tiring it is walking the same route over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again
i believe you yet to serve your NS/ you are a lady / foreigner (unlikely), so do think twice before making such comments -

i think it's ok if they talk during duty cause it's utterly boring working around with a gun looking like an alien as long as they keep fulfill their duties and keep us safe i think it's of no problem
