Are singaporean gullible?

Coming from an elite like Prof Lee Wei Ling who is the outstanding daughter of our Great Leader LKY and is part of his incredibly talented family, these words pierce though my heart like a dagger.
Of course the IQ of ordinary Singaporeans cannot compare with that of our elite leaders and their offsprings but to say it so frankly hurts. Such truth about Singaporeans should never be spoken. That our leaders are superior to us is an obvious fact, that is why they rule over us and give us instructions to follow.
Singaporeans already accept that we are only good enough to follow instructions and obey the mandate of our leaders.
I was depressed all day over Lee Wei Ling's hurtful remarks and confided in a mainland Chinese colleague. This PRC chap really made my day. He said, "Of course Singaporeans are not gullible, if they are they wouldn't have voted for the PAP govt in the past 40 years.
Singaporeans are certainly smart to vote for such a good govt". I instantly felt better although I never got to vote in the past 30 years - but my fellow Singaporeans who strongly and smartly supported the PAP cannot possibly be gullible! We should bring more mainland chinese, they really know how to say the stuff that makes us happy. -

Perhaps you would like to introduce your mainland chinese friend to sgforums' Aunt Agony forum. He will make the days of many Singaporeans. I am sure Singaporeans are following our Great Leader's intelligent advice to look for opportunities within a 8 hours flight zone of Singapore. This includes giving ourselves a chance to listen to the advice of a mainlander.
Perhaps soon, we can ask for a formation of PAP China arm. Blessed will us be if one or two GRC can be run by some Foreign Talents. I eagerly anticipate the arrival of such a glory time. -
1. By converting mainland Chinese to Singaporean, it would mean our unemployment will go down since there is one additional citizen with a job. Now I fully understand what the Singapore minister means when he said 'bringing foreigners to singapore will help to create jobs for Singaporeans'. Jobs are created for Singaporeans because the foreigner becomes a Singaporean!!! If that is not genius, what is?!
2. The conversion of Chinese to Singaporeans will also quickly help solve the problem of Singaporeans unwilling to take up the responsibility of having kids.

Don't think Singaporeans are gullible, we are just compassionate- that's why so many of us donate to NKF, Cancer Fund, etc.
If we can spare a few dollars to help pple even those in other countries, why not? It is good to do more good deeds. -

im once again amazed at the fools in the forum. I thought we laid to rest the NKF issue a while back? NKF =/= TT DURAI. Just because one bad apple spoils NKF's image, you decide to stop caring for your less fortunate brothers and sisters. Now THATS what i call being gullible. Open your minds and use your brains. BTW i think a meritocracy works fine thank you. It isn't up to our government u selfish prick, it's up to all of us to do our part to help the less fortunate. And it is up to people like me who need to educate and change the mindsets of unfortunate souls like you. Charitable help need not come in the form of money. In fact I think the least charitable of all actions is to donate money. If you're really up to it, go help out at the nearest old folks home. I'm sure they prefer the additional help to the latest newest high tech patient bed that will let patients operate it like an F1 car.
And if you say the reserve is enough to last 30 years, yes i think it is an incredible sum of money that most of us cannot figure out why we need it for. Let me pose you a question which might facilitate a better understanding of how large scale organizations are run. Do you have any idea how big our national reserves are? Do you know why they are so incredibly huge? and finally do you know why we need to accumulate so much? Give it a thought before you shoot your mouth off at everything that isn't fair to you.
If everyone was unable to live for the greater good and only care about themselves, this world will be a much darker place than it already is. -

There is nothing wrong with the above infact.
Its a good solution esp wrt pt 2) and other reasons.
There are limited Talents to bring sg to next level.
The only way is to import FTs.
The only problem is the filtering system and the benefits
given compared to the locals.
FT conversion to PR is a good solution for many problems.
One or 2 of which are not appropriate to even mention here.
But yes, I agree most Sporeans are indeed gullible.
