Question on buying software

When U need a certain software,do U actually buy the original or just download and crack or visit the neighbourhood pirate shop?
for those who bought the originals,what are the originals that U have paid for with money,not bundled with new PC or as gifts?Maybe can list them?
Do U think buying original software is worth ur money and would be happy to continue buying original softwares?
Just some questions I have,inspired by another thread.
Not for survey or anything like that.

at where i work, i jus grab from the office s/w library if i need original
like OS, applications...
for personal, i will choose those tt are freeware or free to download.....like anti-virus, spyware remover, cd-rippers, converters..... -

well original is more stable and more most importantly virus free.... but you gonna have lots of $$ for that box that only contain a disc and a instruction booklet
downloaded ones are totally free but if there's virus in it you're gonna be so dead... basically i will go for originals cause don't wish my computer go KA BOOM!! -
Buying original software is worth your money, of course! Do you know how much work is done behind the scenes in order to produce that piece of software? The sleepless nights and extra hours clocked in by individuals worldwide, the brillance of the idea and the benefits you can gain by using it, of course it's worth it! But if you could get all that, at a lower price.. that's a killer bargain !!

im not required to use special or exquisite software
most of the mainstream stuff can be found here or can get supplier to give.....

Its nice that ur company's s/w library is sufficient for ur use...I worked for an SME before...I need to zip some files for a client...the OS they using is Win98SE and Windows2000...zip format is not included in those OS...unlike XP...so I had a small moral struggle on what to do.Originally posted by FireIce:only the OS tt comes with this laptop

Lol XCert, I don't think you got my meaning. Well anyway, I support original but I support pirated more. Alright, crap aside.. I only buy originals when I feel that it is worth my dough, or if I really support that software.
Nothing is fool proof. There is no ONE way to stop yourself from getting infected by viruses through warez. A real noob believes a firewall can protect you entirely but that's not the case. -
