Recently, I went with a friend to city harvest church. Stayed over at her place to for a night because she had cell group the next day and she wanted me to go. Fair enough, we're good friends. But then, at cell group, (i'm roman catholic btw), i was asked about my church and its practices, because you know catholics adopt the more traditional and old ways of worship. and to my utter disbelief, in front of everyone, she said "Haiya, catholic mass only one hour you all learn what...its crap la. Our church is so much better and reaches out to more people. Catholics are shit la. Join us." Then, to make matters worse, one by one everyone started dissing catholism. I wasn't embarassed though, but rather taken aback as to the kind of discrimination and mentality these guys have. Anyone from CHC can tell me why. Or just anyone. Dammit. I'm so insulted.

I dun think CHC leaders would teach their ppl this kinda stuff, really. Some how, I do notice some of the younger CHC goers being a bit more un-tactful, and sometimes rude.
If i were in ur position, I would tell them off. That it is rude to comment on the religious practices of another church or religion.
I would do it if they were to make comments abt my church. -

CHC could be liable for :
Seditious tendency.
3.(1) A seditious tendency is a tendency;
(a) to bring into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the Government;
(b) to excite the citizens of Singapore or the residents in Singapore to attempt to procure in Singapore, the alteration, otherwise than by lawful means, of any matter as by law established;
(c) to bring into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the administration of justice in Singapore;
(d) to raise discontent or disaffection amongst the citizens of Singapore or the residents in Singapore;
(e) to promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different races or classes of the population of Singapore.
(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), any act, speech, words, publication or other thing shall not be deemed to be seditious by reason only that it has a tendency —
(a) to show that the Government has been misled or mistaken in any of its measures; -

well i think under this circumstances you should try to stand by your religious beliefs and clear the doubt or misunderstanding that they have on your religion... but don't quarrel to show you have faith in your religion... cheers

That's why I said before, F*ck Sh*ttyHarvest. It's not a church, much less a church of god. I know christians when I see them, catholic anot that isn't the issue. There is a very large difference between cult and religion.
Ever noticed how Sh*ttyHarvest drags all the young, and the brainless. You'll never see any older, mature, and supposedly wiser people there. You'll probably never even meet anyone who actually went to uni and graduated with a practical degree of sorts.
I'm not looking down on anyone, I can't help it, that's Sh*ttyHarvest for you. If Sh*ttyHarvest can promote such discriminatory suggestions, I don't see the public should not be entitled to having their own opinion. -
BTW if you ever decide to file suit against CHC, I am willing to be a an advising member of your counsel for free. As I am sure many if not all of the very large community of Catholic lawyers will.

Some of our fellow forumers are pretty active in "challenging" the Catholic. or should I say drilling?
