does anyone here have any ideas how to practice what we study?
i mean, even if we can understand and memorize entire textbooks also usless, the most crucial and important thing is to practice in a "as-real-as-possible" world.
anyone has any ideas, other than internships(impossible for me now) etc.?
so there's why there's marketing project lor..buy we only have 1 marketing project, like useless like that leh.
Okay this are the answer that i believe is right:Originally posted by Nikar:KNN......
Ok, i was studying my marketing book today and got a few questions :
1) in marketing, is the 4Ps or 4Cs better?
2) the 4Cs consist of Consumer solution, Convinience, Communications and Consumer Cost.
can anyone explain to me what Convinience, Communications and Consumer Cost are?
is Convinience == easy availability of product so that consumer can find product easily?
is Communications == giving the right kind of message to the consumer so that they'll like the product?
is Consumer Cost == the financial cost required to get just 1 consumer to buy your product?
correct me if i'm wrong.
3) last question, there's this thing about "marketing plan". a marketing plan consists of an Executive summary, a Current Marketing Situation, Budget, Controls, Strengths and Weaknesses etc..
then, somemore, within the "Current Marketing Situation" section, there's sub-sections like "Market description", "Product review" etc.
how to remember so many? by heart?
thanks!
What i do is reading and analysis marketing plan of Toyota. And slowly i'll remember what are the things that should be included in a marketing plan.whoa, nice! where u get the toyota marketing plan? u do yourself is it?
*Well... bascially, remember it by heart lol*

also, u all know of any marketing workbooks anot? u know, those activity-based workbooks that have lots of real world scenarios for you to think and apply your knowledge on.
i also wonder if there's any online forum dedicated to marketing.
thanks!
nikar.
Having a diploma in marketing doesn't imply that you will work as a marketer. You might be involved in other business actitives.Though the projects and tutorials you have done during school days do get you prepared, however the real working world is a lot more to those 4p,marslow,pricing etc etc.Originally posted by Nikar:aiyah, 6++ months of army very fast one lah. besides, if you minus 2 months for clearing leave, you'll be left with even lesser months in army.
anyway, BurgerKing.....after u got diploma in marketing, what did u do? find job? if so, what kind of job?
also, u all got do marketing project before anot, where your lecturer ask u to select one product in the market(sold in SG) and do analysis on it? like SWOT analysis, history, description, your views on the product, future plans for the product and where it's heading etc.?
if got, what product u all choose? i'm thinking of choosing handphone(like maybe k750i), but handphone a bit too common leh. got any others anot, where there's a lot of things for me to write about?
thanks!
