Which Brand of PC is good?

Hi guys......wanting to buy a new pc for gaming....needs to be able to play Battlefield 2, so just as well, which brand is better? Dell seems to be untrustworthy according to my frens..wadya think?

Hp are the best...they are realiable...and has a nice warrenty.

most big-name vendors are the shit, including (but not limited to) acer, compaq/hp, fujitsu etc
dell and ibm are still not that bad though
best bet is to buy the separate components and self-assemble -
Toshiba and Fijitsu are very effective provided u got the cash..

DIY good...ur own specs...ur own budget...U control what is in ur system...not the manufacturer put into a package and sell to U... -
HP is the best
talk about it, if you want cheap and dirty, self assemble. No vendor can help you.
If you want easy and worry free, go vendors -
Aiyo, any desktop with brand is not worth it. If you with to have a gaming PC, you need to build the PC yourselve. If you can't, don't worry just buy the parts from Sim Lim and ask the people there to build the PC for you for $15. Even with that it's cheaper than buying a PC with brand.
(AND WHATEVER YOU DO STAY FAR AWAY FROM DELL) -

Gamers need a powerful Graphics Card. usually won't settle for below the Top ranged Graphics cards.
So a DIY would be more suitable. Other than that, You could look at some of the Top ranged packages from Sim Lim Square and Choose a Top range Graphics card. Remember to upgrade RAM if you are to run many windows programs at once.
For Myself, 512mb Ram is Juz Good enough.
Of coz if i have a bigger Budget, I will opt for Macintosh because id gotten sick of Windows and its association with Microsoft. -

those who keep ranting against Apple being "unsuitable for gaming" have no idea whatsoever... just tink abt it. professional movie makers haf been using Apple computers in video editing and advanced digital compositing. wat makes u tink it can't be used as a gaming system. best of all, theres no worry of BSOD -

The best PC is always a Do-It-Yourself PC... U decide wat u need and wat u dun... It optimize the performance for watever programme u desire to run on...
