Well unless you have androgynous/feminine features, it'll be totally gross. I guess its mainly due to the way I'm (most of us are) conditioned by societies' thinking being the mindless comformist zombies that we are.
On another note, some asian girls actually seem to prefer androgynous 'pretty' guys to the masculine big-jawed or tough/macho-looking ones. This seems to be especially common in Japan's pop culture, and the line between their male's and female's fashion thins. Hopefully in future, us guys would have more fashion freedom too than just boring printed t-shirts or shirts to go with some jeans or pants...etc... -

honestly? i dun see whats wrong with it. personally idun find it gross, but its entirely up to the person. of course sorry if u end up looking like a hideous girl if u XD because then of course people would think its gross. if u're really good looking as a girl, then it's well cool. and then again, if u crossdress as a gag(a joke) like some frat party thing, then its alright as well. remember went to Ministry of Sound London last year and this whole bunch of guys in dresses n wigs. well funny, one of them ended up starked naked and running around the 2nd floor with his thing bouncing about. Totally wacky kewl!

Time is changing for Asia. But I doubt Singapore would follow as quickly. My impression of SG is that the people tend to be less adventurous and traditional minded in terms of fashion. Not many dares to be 'different', unlike other developed Asian countries like Japan, Taiwan, Korea, etc. A notable number the Singaporeans I know are still homophobic, backwardly conservative minded, and thinks woman belongs to the kitchen and that a male should be the one providing for the family etc...But it might just be the few that I've encountered and not reflective of the whole population? -
