Romance of Three Kingdoms II - I miss the days so much

It is the first game that I love so much that every next episode I play. The concept is so good - change the history with the heroes you know well. It was so exciting to see Zhuge Liang came into play and recruited him to join the force.

i liked san guo zhi ting xiong zhuan. really fun. now playing RTK: Fate of the DRagon. very warcraft III-like game play.

Does your PC version of RoTK II have color?
I had a copy but mine has no color. I'm running on WinXP.

i remember depending your monitor setting, one mode give you coarse resolution with colors, the other gives you fine resolution in black and white only. -
I used to have Romance of the 3 Kingdoms IV on CD Rom.. But my XP cannot support it cos need 256 colors to play.

Play Romance of the III Kingdoms X.
Very fun. But in traditional chinese. You get to play as one character and do things in that world, like unlocking skills, side movies, custom events only to specific character, etc...
Btw i played ROTK 4,7,8,9,10 and DW 3,4 b4 and they are great! -

ROTK 10 is rpg + warlord. U start as 1 character and develop him so he can rise through the ranks. Once u reach the rank of governor, u can hold ur own wars without petition to higher orders.
If u only want to play warlord style, i suggest rotk 9. In this game, u start as one of the lords with 1 city and start ur conquest. The map is in global format (ie. u can see info on every city easily) and its nice too. -

During my times I also played RTK2 and also Uncharted Waters, Nobunaga etc from KOEI company. Last time KOEI come out a lot of such games. Those were the times... wonder besides RTK wat other games are being continued till this day?

The problem with ROTK series is, the computer players aren't strong enough. It won't develop a on par warlord force to match you, while you are going into later stage. Mostly is one big force (you) with many tiny forces around.
The feeling is not kick. Like from the middle of the game, you know you will unite China already. -
Ya, this is for most of the series but i feel in rotk 10 if u start as a lousy character and build ur own empire it is more challenging. Coz to recruit people u need to get a good relationship with them or get ppl wif high abilities (intelligence, charm) to do it. By the time u get some competent ppl around u the enemies have already gained strength. i started playing like 10yrs ago...i stopped playing when i reached ROTK 5 i tink....now it is out until 10....need to catch up on it again... -

you want kick ?
Can ah,Go get some useless char like cao bao (the one with all stats 10 plus only)to be your replacement warlord after you let original leader die,make him new ruler),sure you will have tons of kick.lol make sure you only have him and then you try to recruit and build up from that.Will tell you that you will fight until crazy with all the other states and will have so much trouble with loyalty for general until you get that imperial jade.

Anyone remember Bandit King of ancient china?
the 108 hao han stratergy game like ROTK just that now,there is only one main villian character Gao Qiu.
For this,the computer AI is abit higher.It is much more challenging as the comp will immediately know when you are weak and will immediately attack you 100% if you do not give them that immediate bride demand.
LoL every time see that stupid Gao Qiu laughing at you for forcing some of prefecture leader to pay bride make you want to kill him even more.
I would say that is the best stratergy game that koei came out with.But sadly it was never made into later series. -

Best of all there is a time limit to when you will need to showdown with him before the northern barbarian invade and it is game over.
It really forces you to get your best stratergy out to meet that really tight dead line.
Remember first time playing it,can't meet the deadline.
