should i accept this job or not

Hi Everybody
I am confused whether I should accept this job or not. Recently I just got a temp data entry job. The job can be start at anytime but the company is not sure when does the working period ends (they just said they will inform me when their project is going to end soon).
I have been jobless for 3 months liao. So wonder is this job really worth it or should I look for another job? The salary is $6 per hour including cpf. So my take home pay is $768 after deducting cpf. As I work 5 days a week only.
But the problem is i need to work up at 6.30am to go to raffles place to work so that I can reach raffles place by 8.30am. So now I think work up so early and earn so little money seems like not worth it liao. And I can't seem to wake up and go to work so early. What should I do now? I really need money for my marriage but I can't seem to force myself to step out of my house so early in the morning to earn that little money. Sigh that's life.........
Can anyone give me any advice whether this job is worth or not. Or should I look for another job? Any method to motivate me to wake up early in the morning? Thanks a lot.

why dont you find a part time job nearer to your place?

hmmm... i feel its better to haf money in ur pocket dan to worry u haf to wake up early in the mornin loh.. moreover u kan still keep a look out for job while u work..
maybe oso kan broaden ur network.. who knows they juz mite employ u full-time.. btw whr u stay?? or u take 2hrs to do ur makeup huh..

typical singaporean. complain of no jobs, and yet when there is job offered, complain of less pay. then complain of long working hours, journey etc.
u think everytime u can find that perfect job for u meh?? just work lah since u say u need the $ for marriage. so is getting the $ impt or waking up early impt? -

work first ... then meanwhile keep a lookout, having a job is better then zero income

Wah need 2 hours to prepare? I can wake up 6:30am and reach school by 8am or even earlier. (BTW i stay north and my sch is in the east)
Get this job, otherwise staying at home to rot and not earning income is rather bad. -
the money not enuff to motivate you to get up early in the morning? Anything is better than nothing!

Juz go ahead and take the offer... while working, u kan seek for other better opportunities. Its far better than eating west north wind for another few months b4 u find a suitable job. Who koes, tis job might suits u, and u kan advance in tis job??

Just accept the job first and then continue to look for better jobs while working there lah. Better than bumming around. There are people out there working harder for even less money. Don't be like some clowns I know, graduated 4 to 5 years ago still unemployed because they're picky.

r u sure it's pure temp data entry job? coz my friend once kena cheated,he went there on his 1st day,realised that it's actuali some work dealing with stocks,they will say teach u how to do,very easy,but need to open an account with them 1st...beware..

check how many day/s of notice u shld give to quit...since they can't commit the proj deadline, fair enuff, u can't commit either... -
Listen to my "Guo Lai Ren" advices. Some job offer SGD6/hour to do data entry but the bitchy boss may stretch you beyond that: answer phone call, help colleague ta pou lunch, cover duties for those on MC, kana politics backslash...etc or even extend beyond the normal working times every days. No leave, no MC and sometime cannot even have permission to go for personal interview...bla bla bla..
If you damned bloody rich, forget it!! unless you are desperate for even that SGD2.00 lunch a day go for it lor.
For me I rather sell novelty bra in ebay which can earn reasonably better than working as temp. Afterall we all live only once so enjoy... -

4-5 yrs without job after graduation? what do they live on? their parents? -
u dun sounds like u will like the job or will have confidence in it
maybe u would like to wait for a better opportunity
something more stable and u have the confidence to do it well -
The question is how long are you jobless and how much money you have that can sustain you through the following months. If got spare then can don't accept but if cash is running very low like wat some ppl recommend accept job first and then slowly find another one later.
No money how to survive in spore? Ppl who complain abt work very siong is the same everywhere. If a job is so easy to do most likely the person do until retirement and keep such lobang to themselves -
My workplace is in the West, and I lived in the North.
Everyday, Need to travel for 1 hr and 40 mins before reaching workplace.
Pay is $6/hr.
Do I complain? Hell no.
Temp work with 6 dollar pay an hr is gd enough already, somemore data entry only loh.
After working for a few mths, they see I okay okay, then include OT pay, and I'm rather happy now.
So dun be picky lah, Wah liao, so many people jobless loh.

Let the current crop of young sporeans experience wat is life like of spore in the 50's 60's where jobs are so scarce ppl fight for a vacancy if it arises. The cycle is coming back. Ppl who picky will submit to reality when their stomach start to growl and got no money buy rice eat hahaha..... dun expect charity give out from sporean if you are not disabled in any way

Unfortunately our ministers and mps salaries and benefits are not moving back to that era. So I guess we're moving in opposite directions. i will take the job for time being..get some experiences..then at the same time also look out for other job opportunites..the working hrs r normal btw dont complain about working hours
