Once I was with a group of people, walking along Hill Street, outside SCCCI Building (Chinese Chamber of Commerce), there's this guy walking in SMU direction.
Was holding left hand in 'oath taking and swearing' position, a red little book in his right, shouting aloud continously something like "Great Lord Buddha, Great Lord Buddha!" or something with "Buddha".
When he passed our group, no more shouting.
Then this guy in my group said "In the city, there's many interesting things to see and many interesting people". -
Also seen an old man.
TWICE!!!
At AMK MRT and Hougang Central interchange.
Carrying a small red plastic bag.
At time he'll take out a small red whistle and blo a few times at passing busses.

I was once taking a ride on the MRT towards outram or smth... there was this young little schoolgirl perhaps can be considered a secondary school girl, who looks okay at first sight.
Out of a sudden, she screamed and the whole train can hear it! OMG! Then not only the scream but the language is in retardese! It goes something like... Ar wae argh.... i dunno.. hehe... i dun speak retardese in the first place.
The next thing we knew, she starting singing in retardese as well! And swaying back and forth at the same time like dancing u know... GOSH!!!
Singapore school life is too stressful izzit???!!! Haiz... poor thing.

1. i encountered quite a few times already. mostly in the afternoon bus when fewer people, some old person will sit at the back of the bus and constantly talk to somebody beside them when there really isn't anybody there! you know they are seemingly talking to another person because they are gesturing and constantly looking at the direction..creepy sia.
sometimes i encounter some doing that while walking. i remember one auntie was talking loudly and sort of scolding someone "beside" her while walking along. you know she is like talking to someone beside her by the way she is pointing and turning her head...
2. there was once also after i boarded the bus and found a seat then an indian old man suddenly just started to talk to me about michael jackson!!!! kaoz! i quickly changed seat.
3. this one more recent at tiong bahru mrt i was inside the mrt station itself waiting for the train to arrive, then one uncle approach me ask me to give him 10cent to take mrt !! but what the hell he already inside liao leh still need money to take mrt????!?!? but i was wary lah..this kind sure is scamming so i just reject straight away. but later i think abt it maybe hes mad. -
Everyone does this will have a purpose. You must understand he is not mad, he is just unsound. Try empathy in his situation.

Again... perhaps the same situation, but more extreme. Perhaps gotta do with the husband.

He probably had bad experience in the station before. Like losing his 10cents which causes him to miss the last train and ended up sleeping there overnight and later got raped by some desperate mad aunties? hehe... who knows? *shrugs*

This guy isn't mad... but he scares people away with his tactic. You might have seen him before at Yishun MRT or Bishan MRT during the holidays. I believe its his holiday job.
His job is to sell those charity slips. 1 for $2 those kind, then you get a little bit of comission to keep for yourself.
The first time I bump into him was at Bishan MRT. He came up to me and he said
"Hey! Have I seen you before?"
I was like "..."
Then I walked away.
Then he said,
"You live in Yio Chu Kang right? We met before, remember me?"
Then I started thinking, well my school IS indeed in Yio Chu Kang but I doubt I saw him before.
So I said,
"No."
Then quickly walked away.
Then I turned my head to look at him...
And I saw him approached 2 school girls using the same tactic.
"Hey, have I see you before?"
Then I saw him again in Yishun MRT a few months later using the same tactic and he approached me again... -

Anyone mentioned the lady in Yishun MRT already?
i am not in singapore anymore, so i am not sure if she's still there. Few yrs back when i was living in Yishun, there's a lady, quite old, always sit at the side of the Yishun MRT station, near the newspaper stand. She's always there during evening hours when ppl come back from work. She sit there and keep shouting, scolding his son in cantonese, saying something "it's so late already, why havent come back?" " Dinner cold already, still dont want to come back??" keep repeating something like that, everyday. My mom know something about her, she's mentally ill bcos of his husband left her, and her son is retarted also. that's why she so worried about him, always wait for him there and wants him to come home early.
Many yrs back in AMK central area, sometimes i see this old ah pek, who thinks he's kinda "chinese ghost buster". he put on a red cape on his back, with yellow color chinese charaters which i didnt get close enuff to read. he keep pointing at empty space and scold at it as if a ghost or something is there. -

Knn always see this fellar either take 10, 38 or 67. He will either bang his head on the window, the seat in front of him, or shout "MATI!! DIE! YOU MATI!"
That day he was screaming at me.."U facking police! Arrest me lah, put me in jail!"

Bedok area also got this guy, always sit at either the Mac near my former sch (Bedok Town Sec), or Princess Bedok..He will sit there, and talk to himself loudly, then point to the ground at begin shouting Hokkien expletives.
Damn funny man..Last year after one of our O level papers, we were hanging around at the Princess Mac, then film him. after tt he stand up and march towards us, we faster zao man..hahahaha
There is another one, always hanging around Bedok library scolding the government, army, police force, civil defence...damn stupid. he got a very deep voice and usually goes to the library frm 11 - 4pm on alternate days.
These are samples of what he usually says:
"Police s*ck c*ck!"
"You master airborne ah? 1000 jump?"
"Government are pigs! They spend all their money to build what? Pigsty!"
