Cigarettes too cheap~!!

I'm writing in concern for the health and well-being of the rest of the singaporeans.
some time ago, I still have seen smokers smoking in the public. Have walked past a few who inconsiderately blew the cloud of smoke to my direction, causing me to be filled with disgust.
apparently, the recent ban of smoking in public places is useless!!
the ultimate solution
raise price of cigarettes to $50 per pack.
eventually, the FINANCIAL CONSTRAINT will force people to give up smoking. warnings and bans are realli useless. I prayed that some authorities is reading this message. -
if nobody buys, then how can they earn revenue in cig tax.

The point is to slowly but not that infrequently increase the price so that the people get used to the price and will still buy.(increase in price make up the short fall from small % of people who quit so that revenue remain constant or maybe increase)Like that to them is good mah,They can retain revenue and at the same time,they can boast they they sucessfully made some people quit.
Also cannot increase to $50 at a go as this will create an uproar -
After they go against gahmen how, like public protest, lying on the streets, roadside and start to vandalise public facilities? The smokers make up a huge population in Singapore and also Malaysia.
That's probably the reason why the gahmen cannot raise it up totally... -
They tried educating, they tried increasing costs, they tried restricting the number of places one can smoke. So I guess that the govt views the long term costs of smoking greater than what it would lose in tobacco tax. Moreover, it can compensate for the loss in taxes by increasing income tax or COE.

Or maybe they have an annual membership fee of $50000 where the person is allowed to smoke as much as he wants. After which he must renew the fees. -

You don't smoke doesn't mean that smokers must pay more for their cigarettes. I say either you join the smokers or you get out of our way. There are already many places which are smoke free. Go there and stay there.
I hate it when people kpkb about cigarette smoke in open air environments. Non-smokers already pay more taxes still kpkb.
Maybe the government should reverse the smoking ban venues ie. allow smoking in shopping centres, cinemas, restaurants, buses etc, and let the open air places be smoke free. -
