i hate swimming.Originally posted by av98m:Try swimming instead. I've never liked the stress running puts on the knees and swimming unlike running works your upper body as well, giving you a more balanced workout.
it still hurts after jogging, even now.Originally posted by Manager433:I do encounter this years back. Main reason, u didnt have a proper warm up and warm down exercise b4 and after the jog.![]()
Ok, the last time I had this problems, I take a long good rest for about 2 months. Make sure u take lots of calcium eg: milk. Stay away from cold drinks.Originally posted by dragg:it still hurts after jogging, even now.

i only just started running for about 1 week ago.
that is most likely where the problem is, you just started a week ago, give your body some time to adjust. also, be mindful of the type of ground that you are jogging on.Originally posted by dragg:2 months?

i am wearing the new balance shoe provided by the army.Originally posted by alkaiden:wear proper shoes bah... but most veteran long distance runners will get shin splint due to the stress put onto the shin...
u can try cycling, but recently i heard that it hurts ur dick. The next best thing is to swim bah, since it can broaden your shoulders and lets u sun tan. But i dont think its as good a cardio as running

maybe stretching is really the problem.Originally posted by dranoel maxwell:Well what's your defination of pain? isit sharp pain or aching??? If it's aching is think perfectly normal... just continue to jog and the ache will disappear...
If it's a pain then i think it's due to improper warm up or too much stress is put into your calf when you run due to the way you run....
