hey thanks everyone ! and oh ya..my english language sucks meh? lol. Yeah working hard already. Everyone WORK HARD. =) take care. Btw , i take Pure geog also =) . I heard that Venice is important , either this year come out or next year , cause in 2 years time , Venice's gonna be out of the syllabus , same goes for Merger and seperation , but only difference is that it will be out of syallabus next year.

dont bank on one topic nia....cos social studies is new topic...for around 3/4 years onli...so putting all eggs in venice is abit unsafe but u can eliminate those topics tested already in the 3/4 years;p thoughu must rmb tat wad came out for source based last time may come out as structured again

HAhah.. yeah. but coz for the o's only one topic's coming out from sec 3, and 2 topics from sec 4 for the structured essay.. so yeap!
if u look carefully at the content page.. its like.. quite duh what they're gonna give. so yeah i thought it might be 2 out of these 3: venice, health edu and pop, and sustaining sg's development. and coz 2 of them are sg topics, thought they'll give one thats not? so venice and a sg one?
hahahaha PLUS PLUS PLUS PLUS PLUS all schools in sg are banging on venice. and knowing our year as REALLY NOT AS SMART AS DRAGON YEAR...

Ok, so Venice? actually a lot of ppl also say Venice, so if never come out, not will it be you in hot soup, but the rest of those that study Venice (including me) will be.

Hmm.. SS.. personally it is different from other subjects like bio, chem etc coz wat it tests on is not wat u have memorised by hard but rather u comprehension. I nv ever memorised the text much. Usually juz the titles n subtitles as they r usually the points to write abt in ur essays. Dates n time r juz pluses, can be omitted if u lack the time or brain capacity.
The most impt thing is to UNDERSTAND wats in the book n know how to SUBSTANTIATE ur points.
Say u have one pt. Den u explain wat it is abt. Den u give example or referenes if needed. Continue by further explaining the significance of this point. Den relate it back to the issue.
After doing the same for ur next 2 or 3 points. End off by comparing their relationship n significance to the issue.
This is juz a general guide for essay writing. Can apply for History Elective as well.

If u take Hist Elective n know it well, it's a piece of cake even if u didnt study Venice. Points all similar mah. Plus there is no such thing as a wrong ans as long as u can explain.
