yes, the 23rd SEA games has concluded, with host country Philippines bagging 113 Golds......
Thailand, who will be hosting the 24th SEA games in 2007 is at 2nd position with 87 Golds
Team Singapore done us proud by bringing back 42 Golds, 32 Silvers and 55 Bronzes
kudos to all who have put in their blood and sweat for this event. -
there are more golds at these games.
in 1975 we won 38 golds now 42.
comparatively we did much worst. -

I think it is funny how Singapore is probably the most developed country in the region, yet we finish 6th in the standings, in front of Timor Leste, Cambodia, Laos, Mynamar and Brunei. Yes, we may be a small country, a tiny red dot, a rogue China port city(Australia describe us), but its really embarassing to see that we are only the strongest in terms of economy.

A developed/rich country does not necessarily produce good sporting results. swimming team and fencing team. Singapore's swimming team will bring alot of gold medals back for Singapore.
