Combined Sc. is easier to pass & score, they are more suitable for weaker students who intend to go poly.
Don't worry, doing Combined Sc. can still get u into jc. -
COMBINED SCIENCE: 2 sciences total, studying each Science for each semester of the year (1 semester teach 1 science subject)
PURE SCIENCE: 3 sciences or 2 sciences, studying all of them simultaeneously all time of the year. (1 semester teach 3 or 2 science subjects)
PURE SCIENCE COURSES:
3 SCIENCES: Triple Science
2 SCIENCES: Double Science
STRESS LEVELS:
PURE > COMBINED
CONCLUSION:
PURE = Requirements: 60% overall percentage, above 65 for Science
COMBINED = Requirements: Just pass.
TRIPLE SCIENCE = Mad nerds who are glued to their desks -
My sch sec 3s: Everyone got 2/3 pure science and amaths
Sec 4: No one dropped to combined... BUT
Either drop Amaths
Either drop one pure science
OR drop both A maths and pure science. No combined -
haha. you're too lousy to get in pure. lol -
just pursue the subject u like can liao
