Branded PCs, doesn't allow partitions or choose NTFS/Fat32. But it does solve the basic problem.
I'm using original XP sp1 and didn't update to sp2 cos it took up too much HDD space.

It's important to be able to update your WIndows XP home/Pro., otherwise you leave a lot of critical security issues un-patched. Although your Windows can run without all the updates, but it is very hackable and prone to online threats. If hard disk space is limited, upgrade your HD to 80Gb or more.
And even after updating WIndows to SP2, you still need security software like Norton Internet Security 2006 (antivirus and firewall) for broadband connections. Otherwise, your PC will begin to lag seriously after a while due to bandwidth robbery by malicious scripts, trojans, and remote access of your PC. Sometimes, your Home Page gets altered permanently....
