For most of my Malay friends, 'family' include spending more time not only with siblings and parents, but cousins, uncles and aunties, and other members of the community .
Seriously, community bonding would be a better term. I dont know if i spend less time with my immediate family than an average Malay family. -
no marnee, hw to go elsewhere. of coz can onli stay at hm n while away the time wif family.

Actually, I like that Malays are simple people. They are very community minded and spirited.
I find that Malays are easier to please as customers than Local Chinese; they are not so "cat", and they are easily satisfied. Malays when they don't have enough money, they say so. But some (quite a lot actually) Local Chinese, tend to sound and behave like they have money when they DON'T.
Notice that if you smile at a Malay stranger, you are 80% likely to get a return smile, than say if you smiled at a Local Chinese stranger (male or female). -

some people.. they with their cousins very close one. not like me.
i don't go out for Hari Raya renting a bus for a day.
actually, i didnt celebrate Hari Raya much this year. had to mug for exams.
