In society everyone have to work hard to survive and enjoy some luxury. If not gov will have to crack the gov safe and redistribute money to more people and worse children in need. The bosses have to work hard , his workers have to work even harder and even longer hours. If the boss think, time to slow down, all workers nowhere to go. Regardless of race, most try to work hard or hope jobs are there for them as long as possible.
If the parents don;t work hard, money come from where? Have you seen the rising numbers of applicant for funds from various charity and CDC and others. Even if the job $900, the parents have to take it, if not children starve. Adults can take a meal a day but children need 3 meals a day.
those who don't struggle will be jealous of those that made more and criticise them.
If you come from a chinese family , then you should know why your parents and relatives want to work harder and make more money. Who's wants to go see/beg MP for free rice, fill up form at town councils requesting for help and so on. Next time, you go and see the queue and MP session then you know why people want to work hard and climb one step higher and not left behind.
There is no natural resources here except the person himself. As for community spirit, all races here are equally strong. It is those that don;t work hard and laze around that give gov headache and throw the bundle of raising their families to gov and organisation to deal with. And it is this thing that worries the gov as they still can vote for opposition. If this group votes against the gov, they can create a few opposite seats.
in life there will some that work hard to lead and others that take life easy to follow and in need of help from society and gov. Which will you want to be? There are some that really need help and usually help will be extended to them in all ways.

these are the outcast ones and not the regular ordinary people. comes in gangs. they are a public nuisance, disturbing the peace and intentional wants to disturb residents of all races for money. i have encounter few cases in the midnight and afternoon. Never give any money even as they sing and strum louder. if worse case call police and take pictures. Notice that if you smile at a Malay stranger, you are 80% likely to get a return smile, than say if you smiled at a Local Chinese stranger (male or female).

These groups just public nuisance and wants to disturb the peace. They usually sit at back seat. But the bus captain has the right to ask them to tone down or get off the bus if passengers complain. But their scare tactic is accused others of being racists to them. All learn from school, just say racists every one will back off. just like anyone of us and parents, we know whos the trouble makers and avoid them. But in void decks, troublemakers creating public nuisance in gangs with guitars and footballs to residents, whistling at female students or adults. What can residents do? To outcast people its called their homebase, which they use it everyday to launch public nuisance disturbances activities. Residents will leave in fear. The moment they step out the lift these gangs will be whistling at the daughters. Once residents hide and close windows , the gang will move to more dangerous activities, including orgy in the late night as it will not be noticeable or even gang rape. The void deck benches are very good for that. Thats one of their style.
