people got the cash to spend mah. what to doOriginally posted by Alfresco coffeeshop:U are pro asian. I know it.....U blind Sony fan.. will never forgive Sony for his over priced memory card and lousy lens of the PS.
Games are getting crappier as years go by...Originally posted by Karl L:what's the use of that? you still wanna play ps1 games?
The fact is most developers choose the Playstation2.Originally posted by Alfresco coffeeshop:Dont u ever learn from What happen to PS2? Sony claim it can run "human emotion" but the game come out like sh*t
I can tell you that developing for the Playstation 2 is a painful joke compared to the luxury of developing for the Xbox. I expect developing for the PS3 will be even more of a nightmare - if its anything like the PS2 all you will get is a 5 foot high stack of manuals full of op-codes bottle of saki. Microsoft deserve to win this round as they actually have a *clue* how to create development tools and platforms. Sony dont.
retro games is still cool......thats why i still keep gba sp...why? they port over all the old games from atari to nes to sega....Originally posted by Karl L:what's the use of that? you still wanna play ps1 games?
I own Xbox and PS2 and Gamecube and right now my roomate has an Xbox 360. I'd rather stick to PS than Xbox360 mind you. It's more like you are linguistically-handicap for your failure to play JApanese games (those that are not translated to English and only available in Japanese market). Tsk..Originally posted by Alfresco coffeeshop:U are pro asian. I know it.....U blind Sony fan.. will never forgive Sony for his over priced memory card and lousy lens of the PS.
ask u a qn: if out earlier but lots of bugs....so?Originally posted by Alfresco coffeeshop:u warn u all people. PS3 can be flop. Programming nightmare. It happen wth the Xbox, Developer chose to develop for Xbox first after it came instead of PS2, then port over to PS2.
now the table turned. Xbox 360 come out earlier. Easeir to program than PS3. Now the prolem is developer will jump to Xbox 360 first and then will abandon the PS3 because of its programming problem
Because now American is the one who invent new thing like DOOm 3 engine, Half Lfe 2 , unreal 3 engine so and so. Not all these new engine is very hard to port over to PS2 or PS3 because of their programming difficulty. Japanese still like to stick to their own idea of game (low res texture + crayon colour). They dont realise the world is not about them.
PS was initially aimed at Japanese-speaking market. They prioritize their own people so it is not particularly important for them if you English-speaking peeps like it or not.Originally posted by Alfresco coffeeshop:u warn u all people. IMO i tell u the Japanese just copy all this technology and port over to their own system and call it MGS2, MGS 4 ect.
Long time back i read on forum that MGS 2 was actually thief engine under dusguise and improved tweaked.
You do know that LOOOOOOOONG before Microsoft decide to jump into the gaming world and LOOOOOOOONG before iPod decide to jump into portable music player world, Sony was the innovator, inventor and trend-setter.Originally posted by Alfresco coffeeshop:Naabeh u dont realise that Xbox market = Pc market combine. Xbox was still in its embryo state when that came up.Originally posted by Alfresco coffeeshop:How, in 2005, can there still be gamers taken in by Sony SCREENSHOTS of games that are obviously taken from cutscenes and have NO connection with what the actual game will look like?
