bikers lets boycott SHELL Petrol Kiosks

know this shd b in bikes bt hardly anyone goes in ther now...
* Ive been a loyal patron of shell fuels ever since i strated riding n driving eons ago, recently over the last few weeks, most of them have bugged the shit outa me!
now they have a new ruling that bikers cannot pump fuel to their bikes while seated on the bikes. meaning i have to set my bike on its side stand n stand beside it while pumping fuel.
resons given to me for this new practice is due to so called incidences whr the rider catches on fire n cnt hop off the bike to safety... CRAP! so why not get all the passengers of covered vehicles to get outa the car/van/truck while they have fuel being pumped? aernt those traped inside at a greater risk?
How the hell do i top up to full tank wen my bike is slanting to one side! Do not expect me to straighten my bike w one hand while operating the pump w the other wen my bike is a few kilos shy of 300kg!
Give me the names of the outlets that you have encountered this problem n ill list them here. lets all boycott them based on their stupidity alone. singapore is a land filled with other fuel brands tt will welcome our business....
1) Shell Lavender, 54 Lavender Street, Tel: 62920860
2) Shell Havelock, 548 Havelock Road
3) Shell Newton Circus, 143 Bukit Timah Road -
Nah.. Those petrol company should boycott u. Every petrol station is under strict rule to ensure that biker does not sit on their bike and pump petrol. I guess u are not unwelcome to any petrol kiosks.

i think in the US, you are forbidden to pump petrol when seated on the bike..
a few spilled petrol on their nuts, and then sued the petrol companies..
so now, they enforce it.. -

spilt some..
the petrol hit his engine and he was engulfed in flames...
his bike would have blown up and taken out the petrol station...

if so thn they shd clean up all the spilled fuel n diesel tts always on the ground around the pumps.
covered vehicular passengers shd b askd to leave the vehicle b4 they b allowed to pump fuel.
all handphones b confiscated b4 u enter the petrol station premises.
humidifiers b installed at all points in case the air gets to dry n causes a static spark.
also to hire a fire marshall to walk around the station with a extinguisher at all times.
best of all. in view of public safty they shd relocate their stations to less densly populated areas.. somewhr like pulau pawai or sudong... -

oh.. they are trying to get the stations which are under buildings.. like the one in orchard road, and the one at shenton way, to stop and move out.. -

BOTH hands will b bz operating the pump. n sitg on the bike allows it to b upright so i can acheve a full tank... -

I have to side with shell. It is for the safety of everyone else not only the rider that you have taken into consideration.
