  3! = 1x2x3
  4! = 1x2x3x4
  8! = 1x2x3x4x5x6x7x8
  
  you should have your calculator with you if your doing this kind of sums though, so no prob there.

  u miss out 1.. very important step in maths.. because it is 8 groups of numbers.. that is why it is called 8 factorial..

  Well its always good to know how to actually do it. If your going to have to use that function you should at least know how it works, rather than doing it blindly.
  
  I mean whats the point of forever pressing the square root button if you don't even know how to work it out? Just the same as the + - * / tan sin cos function. You should at least know how it works.
