It seems those sales people who know little about PDA or PC always wanted to show off. They dresses up very Funky and have funky hair do. This is good but their atttitudes in sales is very VERY VERRRRRRRRRRRRy sox and fucked up.
Why all the Young Punk acted as though they are the best people to know all the latest or not so latest PDA or PC??? Why this IT sales Young Punk put up an air as if you are an idiot.
When you asked them questions, they treated you like an idiot. They dont entertain questions but only want to know if you want to buy. If I dont ask questions and see a demo how do you expect me to buy?? I tot going to showroom is the best to buy what u want. Now, with this attitude, what is the Diff from buying on internet???
Can you believe it in this High tech Shopping mall, the shop dont even have a WiFi point????? YOu ask them if you have a wifi point to do a demo. They will say we dont have wifi point......... Wow, they sell Very Expensive Wifi pda leh....... wtf wtf.. -

This sort of sales attitude is COMMON in Singapore, when most sales people are doing their job for the commission and quota of sales set for them to achieve each month. So, naturally they're ONLY interested in closing the sale, not furnishing you with details on prdoucts.
They, expect that you have found out about the details from the Internet.
When people work without passion for the position they hold, this sort of attitude is very apt. Their minds are on the MONEY. Not you...
Too bad for those companies and or shops who hire such people, local or otherwise.
I urge local young ones to wake up, because if they don't behave right, foreigners are waiting behind their heels to fill their positions! -
I think there is not enough competition to wake them up yet. When they wake up, may be it is tooooo late already.
The bosses also "kwai-Lan" and they know they have money to rent a few shop in diff names. If you dont buy from this shop, you will go to another shop in the same Funan IT mall..... All the same bad sales attitidues salesman, now who will you buy from now???
The young punk know how to carry boss's balls.......! If boss like me then it is better so they dont have to work so hard mah..........wtf wtf...
Why?? They work in aircon environment, have good food court, have MRT...... compare to those Direct sales guys.... aiaaiii wtf wtf for this young pun....
The most weaknesses they show, the greater opportunities for other to come in... haha.... -

This is nothing new. So-called retail giants like Harvey Norman and challanger employ poorly trained staff managed by equally bad managers and goofballs.
These upstarts expect every customer to know the precise details of every feature on a computer system and will therefore ony blurt out the words "buy or not?"

For your info, these so called young punks with funky hair are basically your typical Ah Bengs. They've evolved into these "trying to be trendy" idiots who're actually top notch experts in Hokkien. So try not to laugh when they struggle with their "Engrish", or you'll get the worst attitude ever.

dat reminds me when i was shopping for an mp3 player some years ago in harvey norman.. the person told me there was no such thing as an mp3 player.

Same experience when asking questions in Funan/Sim Lim. No choice, gotta know what you want and show that you really buying then can ask more. If wanna look around and scout for price and try out for fun, they'll treat u badly.

but not all r like that man. i sumtimes work at funan IT mall. but thats only for acer laptop road show only.
i serve with passion and help my customer. even though they dun buy for me i also help them compare lehz.
not all are bad.
maybe i am a part time staff so i dun really have a quota or wat. but my commission is only 10 bucks for 1 laptop.
i dink its apporpriate to serve with pride. so that the customer will come back to you. somtimes they do met lousy customer also.
when there are good, there are always bad.
and ya if anyone nid acer laptop come ask me i'll be more willing to help -

i am 17 near to 18 but i don't look like one. i got this very gin-na face. for my sister's wedding i went to look around for a pair of nice ear rings for her my buget was like 300 hundred. and it was from my pay. i went into the shop looking and no one even come and service me. and btw there was only me in the shop. they just stood there u know waiting for me to leave
i find that adults in the service industry have a promblem serving someone a lot younger than them. is like their pride is been step on. which is not. i know this best because of my super kiddish face and adults tend to regard me as a slightly over grown teenager
and it tells from their services.
what is wrong with those ppl ?

My brother, do not fret cos' this happens to adults also. It's not really becos' you look like a kid, that's why they don't serve you. The important point is, they think you're too young to have money. So as long as they see anyone who's not dressed like a million bucks, they'll ignore you. Very shallow kind of thinking right? Well, you'll be amazed by how dumb they are, especially the ones in branded boutiques. They freaking think they own the shop. Can choose customers somemore. Seriously, I never trust those sales man in those IT shops or exhibition......they are just some students taking pt jobs.......they noe nuts abt the technology.......therefore i never ask them questions......
it is betta to get a friend who is good in IT to follow you......ur job is just to walk around and find the best deal.......save the trouble of asking the salesman........
