  Alot of fake ones around. So many that only bank can recognise which is real. So, most places have stopped accepting them. KNN...i tired to use but kana rejected....wth
  
  But go to major supermart, they still accept. I went to Giant and give them all my RM1 coins..haha....they say still accept till year end..what a relief.

  i got 2 RM1 coins left over from last few years and i am keeping them! legal tender or not, they can be kep as collector's items even though they may be deemed worthless to buy anything, some years down the road, maybe coin collectorswill want to acquire them!

  The RM1 coin may no longer be a legal tender for now but betta keep one if you have... maybe make it into a family heirloom for the generations after you... ya never know if someday it's gonna fetch million of dollars or something... old antiques & ancient stuff can cost a fortune...

  $10 coin is those cupro-nickel proof-like coin u mean? those can buy every Chinese New Year? $5 coin is the scallop shape if m saying correctly.
  
  actually, that $25 above, if u use it to buy things, it is still worth $25. The face value is the main point. Its worth more only to collectors, because, only high prce brings results..
  
  so as said, even the orchid $1 is still $1, no matter how rare it is, but juat that no one will go and circulate them around
  
  Banana notes, has no face value, but is still worth as a collector's item, same as Rm1 coins etc although they are no longer legal tender.
