Teen's hand severed by "staring incident"

A 17 year old teen's left hand was severed because of a "staring incident".Two persons in their late teens accused the 17 year old and his friends that they were staring at them, agitated.One of the teens whipped a machete which was a foot long out of his black jacket and swung it at the teen.The teen thought that the assilant was aiming for his head and blocked the blow with his left hand causing it to be severed.
The left hand has been reconnected to his arm through surgery.
Reported in New paper yesterday.
