Do you know why, my computer is 'not responding' after
clicking on the software while it process

Either your computer is lagging and you click a lot times, then it will show not responding or some other reasons.

just wait for about 1 or 2 minutes loh
my firefox always hangs a little while when loading PDFs, all because of the giant adobe reader plugin
if the program dun come back after 2 mins then press ctrl-alt-del and kill it. -
I guess yur com is lagging.. try to be little patient... dont click it so many times if u know it is lagging.. jus click once will do.. den wait for it to load.. if it hangs, restart com... but I need to ask... what is yur RAM capacity? try to defragment yur com and disk check it... it might help to reduce the lagging incident.. try scanning for virus and spyware too... all these might also contribute to the lagging of yur com... if all these still cant work, den post again in sgforum.. k?

there can be many other reason. more info is needed. for a start, check your processes/application in your windows task manager by pressing ctrl-alt-del. is it even running at all? do you have a firewall? what is the name of the software?

That is the main 'feature' of Windows, add more RAM may not help.
Usually fresh Windows installation run smooth and then the symtom appears after a while.

sheesh... why everyone think of reformatting as the easy way out. if its not responding, the program might have been still running in yr processes but refusing to show its face. in this case fire up yr Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and dun end the task from the first tab. KILL the process from the Processes tab... Then try opening the program again.
Another reason may be its opening. Dun be so impatient as to keep on clicking on it. For such a weak OS like windows, yr torturing it to death.
One guaranteed way to end all these torment is to...

True. For this case, there might also be 1.program conflict or 2.possibly malware.
Any newly install software will clash with some programs/applications.
Got to check thoroughly. -

got lots of adware spyware malware and virus lagging your com.
go to www.download.com to dl adware/spyware and virus remover.
alternative- give me your harddisk and go buy a new one. -

Adding more RAM is one solution. However, if this doesn't solve your problem, check for spyware and adware. Spyware and adware slows down the computer, which will cause your computer to lag. -

Assuming that he doesn't use any memory hungry applications like Photoshop, adding RAM will greatly improve. The impact is visible. -

I think you're trying to say that If he's using Memory intensive apps like PS, adding RAM will greatly improve right?
Because i personally is a Photoshop user. I've seen my work one render - 10mins with my 512mb and less than 5mins render when i upgraded to 768mb.
The more you use memory intensive apps, the more you can see your work speed up. That's where RAM comes in, not to forget that the PC is in clean state..

If u want the irritating msg to disappear ASAP press crtl-alt-del under applications you should see the not responding program, right-click on the respective program go to 'go to process' the respective process will be highlighted and press the 'end process' button... -
