  Some processes are easily identified. For example, if your Firefox is not working, just find the process firefox.exe and end process.
  
  If unsure of which one to kill, there's always the restart button. But I noticed some models of Dell don't have restart button......

  there's always the power button unless that button is spoilt from over-usage.

  lik someone suggested...get a MAC...for those who has noballs for PC, windows and microsoft....easy way...format everthing...a format a while keeps the virus away

  You can even use Process Explorer (free) and it can tell you the path of the EXE, size, description, and even allow you to close seperate window handles of the EXE (useful to remove spyware toolbars from IE, Windows Explorer, etc)
