Water Margin (Chinese Robin Hood)

Water margin is a chinese classic where all the abanished heros from the olden chinese court gathered together at an island call Liang Shan Po, where they rob the riches and kill the corrupted officals and help the poor. They call themselves 108 heros from Liang Shan Po.
Now it shown on Channel 8. In my opinion, i like the story very much and i feel they are valour and righteous heros, however, i'm sadden at the ending.... -

aside from the jin ping mei, i find this water margin has a sad ending, in the end the heroes caused the downfall themselves.

Hmm, i never read about the Lin Chong's wife being raped part.
But then again, there's so many versions of the story.
The more realistic fiction and the fiction fiction. ahha
Realistic fiction would omit the "magic" by luo zhen ren and that courier guy (tai zong i i remember correctly)
Well, i used to think that this story did really happen in history. Turn out to be a Ming Dynasty classical novel. haha.
And now, it's even disputed that so much about Water Margin is exaggerated like Chao Kai and gang can easily move around the entire China to fight wars. -
The ending wont be misery if Song Jiang did not surrender himself and his gang to the govt. What i can feel that family honous and prestige is very important to the older china. But i admire them for their bravery and righteous acts that may not easy revealed in today society.

Chao Kai move around the entire china to fight war? Well, I always thought they stay in Liang Shan Po as a self-ruling teritory, i dun think they move around to fight wars, unless u r talking to about the final war where they help to fight for govt.

It is not Tai Zhong but Dai Zhong. -

The next 50 chapters? were written by, some say, Luo Guanzhong - the author of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I think this version has 120 chapters? Sad version, most of the heroes died. The drama features this version. -
