How much is an electronics Engineer pay?

salary is highest among any degree students. but in return, you get to do fuck up work esp long hours.

Engineering so tough to study and do but the pay cmi...
And the jobs quite unglam compared to other uni grads.
Telling ppl that I work in Tuas, AMK, Pandan, Ubi ( or any other industrial park)
isn't too glamorous. -
but telling people say i work in Mircon, ST. Microelectronics, SIA, Motorola, Siemens, Chartered, HP, IBM, looks ok rite?

But I hear it's a comprehensive exams that covers a multitude of subjects, maths,
physics, and also engineering law, ethics etc ... sort of like a grand final exam, and I believe there's a certain period of work experience required too, you can't take the P.Eng exam right away ...
It's sort of like getting a CPA for accountants, a formal accreditation for engineers, and common in other countries, for example, it is illegal in Canada to practise as an "Engineer" unless you're accredited with a P.Eng, people don't care whether you've graduated from MIT or some sungei road uni, but they look at whether you have a P.E or not ... like graduating with a law degree and being called to the bar only a few years later, you'll be a "lawyer" only then ...
I'm unfamiliar with how Singapore goes about regulating the profession, but I guess most times "Engineer", unlike say Lawyer or Doctor, is a job description rather than a professional title, maybe you can check out the PEB website ? ... -

but don't be happy. lawyer catch up very fast. business admin guys become manager then also fast.
engineer keeps staying in small company and doesn't move up, become that is it... -

Wah, from what I gather here being an engineer sounds scary. Next time I go uni want to study aeronautical engineering 1, now you ppl say until like being engineer like sai like that. I think I must switch my dream career liao, maybe go nano-tech or something like that?

Fresh grad starting pay 40k++ SGD per annum including bonuses...
After 5 years 35k++ SGD excluding bonuses...
if you like to play with electronic gagets you wont need to "work" a single day...
a "computor" can do miracles but it is the brain of the engineer/scientist that makes em work...
for R&D it is really a matter of going boldly where no mankind has gone before...

being a da gong engineer, it won't bring you great wealth.
imagine that you have 8,000 per month income and 50% saving of the income, it will still take you more than 10 years to clear the payment of a 600,000 housing. -
