in 2003, my classmate asked me to go CHC. i declined. he asked the other students in the class. bad thing to do. now, we all outcast him.
this year, i received a book, some sort of a comic. it was abt an airplane crash where hundreds of Haj pilgrims died. and that they didnt go to Heaven and went to Hell instead. one of the strips even had this ChristianIslam convert who was reprimanded by supposedly, a drawing of Jesus Christ. i just ignored that comic book. forgot what church it was.

Yup, I have no ideas. Always observed fierce argument either within the Christian world or in the secular world. For other religion, I observed much less scrutinisation in their scriptures.Originally posted by laurence82:This topic is quite interesting.
First question is, why is there this presumption the Bible is scrutinised more closely than scriptures from other faiths?
For the Christian world, I thought the answers are obvious. Its like asking, why are there many different denominations.Originally posted by Engineering:Yup, I have no ideas. For the secular world, some reasons, but one of which is significant is response to Christian evangelism..
Like you said, since you have the[b] Great Commission, ie, evangelise to non believers, which other faiths dont have or have litle of, you cant be expecting immediate conversion, can you?

i once encounter a christian(not very sure about the church) he asked me if the world now is chaotic, i answer "yes". Then he refer me to the bible and said that those who don't believe in jesus will be condenm into hell and those who believe will be liberate into heaven...Originally posted by sinicker:oh ic.
