like this, i'm just trying to get this thread going by asking questions, sorry if the question is a stupid one.
If you best friend is a guy, and if you or he's married, you can still ask him out and have a drink in the kopitiam, chit chat about anything, politics, games, etc.
But, if your best friend is a female and if she get married, maybe her husband will be jealous because u keep on 'disturb' his wife, if you are married, then your wife will be jealous. if the reason is u need a friend to speak out your problem, your wife maybe will be more jealous thinking why do you speak out your problem to other girl instead of herself (your wife) -

Establish trust from spouse about friendship between your friend and yourself.
Frequent gathering together with spouse and friend.
And make sure you stay clean.

when man and woman are close friends, very easily one side will fall in love with the other. very very easy. but as long as both sides don't do anything stupid, then the friendship can continue as per normal lar.
