why so many people condemn CHC?
IMO, CHC likes to show off its wealth by building extravegant churches, employ many high tech gadjets in its service and so on. That is what put people off.
Even if you have money, you need not spend it like nobody business. If CHC dun want to donate to charity for better causes, it can still keep the money as reserves for next time use.
Want to show off wealth? Which church in this world is the richest? Needless to say, it is the catholic church. But except those at rome, the rest of the churches around the world, and in singapore, the churches are very humble. The services are very humble. WHen the services come, people gather to pray. Not to engage in whatever concerts, bgf and so on... -
and please, dun say catholics worship mary. That is a very seerious misconception.

I wonder..is there any symbolic significance in the architecture and design of the CHC church buildings which warrant such great expense? Just compare to the great medieval churches such as Chartres and Westminster Abbey, which were also built at great expense in their time, but incorporated a lot of religious imagery and artistic value. Also, modern religious buildings can also be futuristic in design and yet incorporate religious values. For example, look at the brand new Assyafaah Mosque at Sembawang, which cost $9 million and was an architectural breakthrough in mosque design.

Should send auditors to check on them. They are so rich. If i'm not wrong, this year Feb TNP reporters went to Rev Kong or Ho Yeow Sun house for a visit (she's in confinement that time, still deciding if she wants to sign on with the US agency). They stay in a penthouse at Orchard area, had a USD$5000 sofa flown from US, had a walk in wardrobe. When Sun Ho is in US, she brings her baby boy with her. Rev Kong will fly over to meet them there and stay for half a week. Sun Ho said in an interview that she spend several hundred thousands on her Ed Hardy shop. In Ed Hardy, a cap will cost more then $100. I wonder how they become so rich, though they're not taking salary from church anymore.

hi i know many ppl will say that most CHC members are bad tempered, they drag u into church, if u dun, they will get angry.
but i want to prove this wrong.. we get angry because we are concern.. we wwant to help u.. sincerely! if we dun care abt u we wun even get angry ok? we love u all thats y.. u have to be more understanding.. sometimes if we ask u to come u still dun come we will scold u or kick table and chair.. it just shows the extent to which we care for u right??
so next time we beat u up for not coming to church.. u shld thank us instead. -

I have nothing but praise for the way they do things over there. Seriously, what's your problem?
Let me just ask you a simple question.
What are the beliefs of a Christian? All Christians believe that men will only go to heaven after accepting Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and repenting of their sins. Right? So what happens to the rest who don't? They don't go to hell don't they? That's according to the bible.
So if a Christian is equipped with this knowledge, don't you think they will want their loved ones to also be able to go to heaven? So what will they do? They will ask their loved ones to come to church. Just remember this. If someone ever asks you to come to church, just know that he/she cares about you. -
