Well giro is efficient but say you terminate services but forget inform bank the giro still deduct straight away. For such cases, it is too efficient for our comfort. It is jut too punctual in taking money from us.
Hence for some recurring bills I prefer internet payment or by cheque. You can call me smelly manner

then again...i got a friend who moved place and the telco couldn't find him again...haha...result= no need to pay liao... -
i temped for a hp line service provider before ....
you'll be so surprised at the number of people who "utang" hp bills ....
they'll come in all cheery and all, telling you they want to sign up with a new plan,
you type their details into the com, and *fwah ! ... chap utangs a few hundred dollars ...
of course being Singaporeans, some will show an ugly face and try to argue with you ....

How about M1? I call them up and ask them, they say can terminate a/c but if didnt pay outstanding bill, they issue legal letter cost about (70++)?
Main concern is tat I do not want loan collector be involved leh. -

u have to pay the amt u owe them, plus some legal costs
if still die die dun wanna pay then they will take legal actions... -

I do know that for Singtel as long as you pay something they don't disturb you except send you those overdue letters.

hmm.. from past experience, if the bill is above a thousand and long overdued, they'll engage debt collector (legal ones) and write letter to u. if its anything below $500. they wont bother. afterall, they are paying more commission to law firms or legal co. to press u for that pathetic few hundreds.Originally posted by Manager433:Who?
