If 13 or more, i will go poly...
No use going to JC if you have like 15 or more... some peeps L1R5 20 still want to go JC when they just cant cope and drop out. -

Hmm... i'll say... getting into medical is a real hard way. You'll hav to score very well in ur sec school and make ur way to JC with a AAA,AAB kind of results to get into medical. Poly is not that tough compared to uni.
Average A, a few B should get you into uni.
Poly is for people to pass, won't kill.
But at the end of the day, it's consistency that counts.
Those who are top in poly/JC and didn't make it in uni probably failed to be consistent.
Choose poly, now uni admission quite lax liao. -

paiseh ahh i tink this qn haf been asked here quite a number of times liao.. but i still dunno how to choose between this 2.. if ish JC, i might be able to get into a gd 1 thru direct admission using my cca.. but den i still not sure which to choose. if i were to choose poly, den choose wad course?! i dun realli noe wad i like and my strength. and business courses sound boring to me
i dun wanna make the last minute decision then end up regretting~

i just finished my a levels this year
well if u are academically inclined then go jc
if u like handson go poly
either way as long as u got close frens can make it through
otherwise it will be hell
like me like that 2 years in jc no close clique
only hi and bye type of frens
now my mind a bit demented -

I am intending to go buiness. But I am not very sure that I want to go into buiness or not. Same thing with the threat starter, I don't know whether I want to go Poly or JC. I still have a year to choose. But it's better to choose now than later...
I am wondering, comparing JC and Poly, JC's more stressful. But how exactly is that stress? Is it worst than Secondary school? If yes, how much more?
I am good in Mathematics, not Sciences. If that's the case, which course can I go in JC?
And for JC, how many subjects will 1 take minimum and maximum?
Lastly, in Polytechnic, if I am taking Business: Accounting, for example...
What am I suppose to expect? How many subjects? How stressful is it? How are marks going to come about? ( By Presentation ALONE or with homework and etc.. )

JC is more stressful definitely. you may expect a few hrs break in between tutorials in poly but not in JC lah. some more, it's the usual 7.30am assembly.
considering you want to do business, i suggest you take Economics. You say you're good in Maths and not your Sciences. So, is Science stream totally a no-no for you?
i do not know abt the new curriculum for this year's batch(2006). some complicated curriculum, i have to say. expect more stressed JC students. -
I ain't good at Sciences since I got into a Maths class. So I think Sciences are not for me.
As for the curriculum... What do you mean by, ' more stressful '? In what sense? Like more lessons a day? Longer lessons? Or... ? -

JC is really stressful. It's the amt of things and knowledge u hav to stuff into ur tiny brain kind of stress.
The stress from JC is different from poly.
I can say that poly is more on presentations, project assignments and finally exams. But for JC, its mainly on examinations and finally towards A lvl.
Lemmi tell u straight, i hope you dun mind... if you can't get ur 'O' lvl L1R5 at 10pts and below.... dun take the risk. Unless u're so confident to say that u're going to do better in JC THAN sec school.
