How to get to Ubin Island?

  ask you ah.....
  
  i read that Pulau Ubin boat uncles will wait till boat fill up before they set off to ubin.
  
  but what happens if you want to take the boat on a weekend late morning where there will be almost no one else to take???
  
  do they uncle operate on tides? Low tide = no sailing?

  dunno eh. never experienced. by right is wait lor. tides doesn't affect, the platform is floating one.
  
  this type of qn, maybe F| more experienced... haha.

  Where do i exactly take the boat to PU?
  
  Last time i went was 1997... so memories of me going there just vanished.
  
  Because on my trips to Pulau Tekong, i notice that the Changi Village the river during low tide all the boats are beached.
  
  So even the platform are floating, how does a beached boat sail?
  
  or am i looking at a totally wrong place?
  
  where is this new terminal i hear ah??

  new terminal is adjacent to former terminal, nearer to the sea. located just behind the big carpark next to market.
  
  the low tide thing dunno, must go see.
  
  when i was young, the uncle did sail with less than 12 ppl before, but i think it shld be at least 8 ppl, not like 1 or 2 ppl that kind.

  this is what i did on 24/12.
  
  cycle to CV.
  met up wiv friends.
  ta-pau nasi lemak.
  go ferry terminal.
  they $2. i $4. got bicycle mah.
  reach ubin.
  go mamam beach and ate nasi lemak.
  came to a conclusion, bad idea ta-pau-ing nasi lemak.

  2 grps of 3.
  2 grps of 2.
  
  the uncle tell one of the grp of 2 to wait for next boat!!!

  yah.....12 ppl
  
  the money is for the fuel mainly
  
  if u are staying late and need special arrangement to come back mainland, u can cham siong with the bumboat uncles.....

  so for you experienced people, what's the best time to get 12 people fast on way there and back?
  
  last time i remember not so lehceh leh.

  1 bicycle is counted as zero person. best time to go? weekends lor. when many ppl go ubin. weekends late morn/early aftnn. go back late aftnn.
  
  boat renting? i dono. that day i saw ang moh family go ubin on their own boat. the father drive.

  its not really troublesome ba.. most time don't really have to wait that long for the boat to fill up or anything, there are afterall residents moving in and out of the island still...
