Seriously, if every one of us have the courage and civic mindness to help one another, I guess there will not be a problem. How many of us actually witness a molest that took place there and went up to help the victim?
We just remain as indifferent gawkers and maintain the Singaporean attitude ie "If it's not my problem, I shudn't care."
Crowds not exactly my favourite kinda place, so I always avoid such places.
Girls, you understand the situation that will take place in such an event, there's no water tight preventive measures. So, all you have to do is well dress a little more, short skirts aren't exactly an ideal choice in a situation.
Yes, you may say that girls are allowed to dress how they want, the fault falls entirely on the assiliant. Think about it, would leave your house unlock and go for a holiday? I'm not saying you girls are asking for it. Just keep in mind that not everyone is a good person.. -

my feel is that if you want to swim in a sea with sharks, expect to be bitten.
no matter what you ban, some jokers/perverts will take advantage of crowd to do some silly things.
I understand the number of plain policemen were increased but it can never be 1:1.
So I ask some ladies joining such parties to be wiser and look where you go.
And if something happens, do report. You not only protect other ladies but you could stop such acts. -
ALL I CAN SAY IS, you go there, you pay for what is gonna happen. No one forces any girls to party there, its u choose your own road. Despite so many warnings and reports on previous molestation by bangladesh workers, STILL there are girls going to these parties to get themselves molested and then come back make police report... what for? Just DON'T GO lor.

my second aunt almost got molested by banglas. it's sick and stupid coz she's old and ugly - not desperate housewives material.
i don't mean to sound anti-bangla but one can't deny that there are some banglas who misbehave while in sg. they say when you're in rome, do as the romans do. can't these people just learn to respect the local culture?
or rather, respect women.
i was told that while men crave for sxx, women crave for affection (which does come in the form of attention)
women do want attention from men. but not until like that.. -

Still, fact remains that these people shouldn't be allowed to think they can get away with it.

If the mind is not right, crime can happen anywhere-even at home. Prevention is one thing but letting wrong doers know that they will not get away is very important
So I totally agree with Sumone that as long as everyone stand up for justice, anyone can go anywhere in Singapore.
If someone commit an act of injustice to anyone, everyone should make sure that someone pays for his/her wrong doings to that one.

Actually this is old news. Back before 2000, I already knew that those foreigns workers like to prey on those young girls during NY countdown. That was before they introduced shower foams. Now its even worse. Just that in 2006 it became so common liao.
