  they just built a super walmart right in front of meijers near where I live Two giant supermarkets competing against each other...

  They sell more of lesser known brands or inferior brands just to get the same price.
  
  e.g. you see them selling RCA more than Sony. Those Sony available in their store are usually older models.
  
  ANd their price is not exactly cheap either. They are just selling at pretty much what others are selling too.
  
  I never like Wal-mart, but since one was located opposite my house, still buy from them for the convenience. haha. yes... call me a crony. haha

  Well, Walmart America has many pros, of course the cons too. let me list the pros:
  
  + Super big stores...biggest is 220000
  + Has almost everything
  + Music CDs are slightly cheaper
  + Prices are cheap
  + SELF-CHECKOUT counter. So if you want to buy "personal" stuff such as condoms, etc... u got privacy.
  
  Walmart China Specials:
  
  + One section devoted entirely to Fresh Seafood in aquariums.
  
  Anyway, the think what Homebody is referring to is KMART, not WALMART. Walmart has never been to Singapore.

  last time i heard that they feel that singapore is too small and too saturated, and the operation costs will be too high for them to be profitable.
